Corswain, New Dark Angels Hero Previewed For The Horus Heresy

Another Dark Angel character is on the way for those diving into Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. This time around, we're meeting the mighty Corswain, a champion swordsman amongst the ranks of the Legion.

Corswain was named the Seneschal by Lion El'Johnson and he was tasked with finding and slaying Typhon. He wears the Armour Of The Forest and the Mantle Of The Champion which affords him a serious amount of defence when rushing into the fighting. He also carries a Terranic Greatsword known as The Blade (quite to the point...).

He comes absolutely covered in Dark Angels iconography, showing his colours to all those around him. There is no mistaking who this warrior fights for. I think that the cowled version of Corswain with his bare face is the way to go though. I have always liked that Paladin/Knight aesthetic to the Dark Angels, especially in an almost "grail knight" style.

Probably Heresy but he’d go nicely with my Fallen project (potential spring cleaner next year)
No heresy to point out potential heresy or the useful benefit thereof. I don’t have an Inquisition source of that quote but it’d likely be a quiet comment in some corner of the galaxy where xeno-tech is likely used for its expediency

Great looking 30K dark Angels to pick up.
Looks like the fluff for the Dark Angels will be hashed out with this figure being created. The belt buckle emblem is a symbol used in the Thelema magical practice, notable for Chaos tradition, as kicked off by Crowley. I think the splinter element of this legion has been put out quite nicely. Look out for any others in GW designs.

Oh well, can’t be helped. The model though is beautiful, I have to admit. The Dark Angels have been getting some love from GW that is for sure.

I think GW are just doing this deliberately now! WHERE THE ACTUAL FLIP ARE THE NIGHT LORD UPGRADES!?!
I bet that’s all NL players get as well, a few winged helmets and a should pad.
One day we sill see some Character Models, although at this rate I suspect we will see a new Konrad Curze and Sevatar before we see anyone else!
