Check Out This Superb Looking Tau Super Heavy!
December 26, 2014 by brennon
In the spirit of showing off cool things this Christmas another oldy but a goody. See what you think of this rather impressive Superheavy Assault Walker put together by Mangozac (Zac) for the Tau Empire than eventually made it's way onto the ChapterHouse Studio webstore...
A very awesome piece of kit and shows off what you'd imagine the Tau would do when faced with the likes of Imperial Knights and such on the battlefield. While it's not an original Games Workshop piece I could see this being an awesome addition to many battlefields if you have the want for it.
I like the spider like design that while not entirely in keeping with the Tau aesthetic does fit in. I could potentially imagine this being something adaptable in the Tau arsenal so it maybe hunkers down to become a gun emplacement when not needed.
What do you think?

I do Like it, but I think the legs should be reversed. The big front ones should be on the back with the smaller ones at the front.
Great conversion piece though!! Makes me think my skills in this hobby are seriously lacking…
I some how agree with @olly but it make sense that bigger armoured legs are facing front and back lighter are on back,
extra armour plating?
Love it.
It sure does look interesting and rather different compared to two legged Riptide.
Way too big. But good looking.
Very nice.
for some reason it looks much better in the above pictures than on the chapterhouse site.
…so Chapterhouse survived the freezing of its assets? anybody got any info on that?
Lovely, some superb modelling skills on display there.
Naff model, nice painting.
this is SO old…
actually it is not that Tau-esque imho, Tau won’t use 4-leged-walkers, they would use bipedal humanoid walkers, or, more likely, a heavy skimmer chassis (there is a scratchbuild of that on the interwebs, btw).
still a nice model.
