Community member @deaddave was at the Horus Heresy Weekender this past weekend and sent through some pics of what kind of awesomeness is on the horizon from Forge World. We picked out a few of the awesome pieces to share with you...

Domitar Battle Automata

Kicking things off we have some amazing new pieces for the Mechanicum. Starting things off we have the Domitar Battle Automata which looks like one of the most kick-ass robots I've ever seen. I actually quite like the 'swagger' of this walker whose design is just fantastic.

Domitar Battle Automata (Alt)

It gets even better when you see one of them swinging around a shield and hammer. I love that the Mechanicum have basically been thinking about how much they can push technology and stay off the battlefield. Why go into the fighting when the robots can do it for you?

Painting Battle Automata

There was even some painting going on for these models showing off what they look like with a bit of paint on them. You can also see the variety of posing options here too as this one is swinging the hammer into someone's face (or just has).

As well as these epic walkers we also had some other contraptions of the Mechanicum...

Big Ol Gun

I can see why the Mechanicum has become such a sought after faction in Warhammer 30,000 and 40,000. The creativity within the Forge World team when it comes to making things out of 'metal' is great and it provides a wonderful image of their workshops full of strange contraptions.

Equally as impressive we also got to see this HUGE gunship...

...which also has a very nice interior detailing. You can see a bit of it there but below deaddave got a good shot inside the rear bay. I wonder what kind of warriors this will be carrying into battle?

Gunship Interior

This ship also comes with all manner of different weapons under the wings and on the sides. It is packed with missiles and all sorts. I think this might be a bit hard to have as a flying addition to a game but it would make a superb interactive objective. This was also painted up for the World Eaters...

Now we move onto some of the other surprises from the event with a look at some new variations on the Knight.

Knight #1

Knight #2

As you can see it looks similar in scale to the Knights but has more of a Titan feel to it. I'm sure that deaddave can clarify what this might be in the comments below.

Last but not least Forge World also shared an image of their upcoming Primarch, Leman Russ. He looks incredibly awesome and just as feral as you might expect...

Leman Russ

I can't wait to see how he looks when finally finished and I could really see this being one of the most stand out models from their character collection.

What do you think of these morsels?
