The Cerastus Knight Castigator Draws Swords For Forge World
September 2, 2014 by brennon
Forge World have another knight ready for the battlefield. This time around they are going with a knight that is deadly against infantry with the Cerastus Knight Castigator!
This knight comes with a castigator pattern bolt cannon that will mow down utter swathes of infantry as they try and advance. If anything gets too close then it will simply swing out with it's sword and destroy them and indeed some light vehicles too. I reckon it could easily toss aside a small tank.
I do quite like this miniature (although it is huge) but I do hope that it's a bit more pose-able than what you see above. Just standing still like that on the battlefield isn't that dynamic and doesn't look like the infantry clearing death-dealer it is meant to be.
What do you think?

Does anyone else feel it has pulled a hood over its head?
It’s an Assassins Creed Titan 😉
Having put together a lancer, which seems to use the same body, I can tell you it is fully posable. Great kit.
Once you’d decided on colours schemes and pose, how many hours did you put into the Lancer? I fancy doing one but like everyone I have other projects to complete.
I’ll add my backing that the lancer is a great kit. Took ages deciding on a decent pose.
And the same question to you my Captain, ‘Once you’d decided on colours schemes and pose, how many hours did you put into the Lancer? I fancy doing one but like everyone I have other projects to complete.’
Took a fair few hours to put together. Then a fair few hours to paint. Maybe 12 hours in total. But I have an established simple paint scheme and put together titans before. So this was easy compared to a warhound.
… does anyone else feel like them calling it a Castigator might be a subtle jab at Privateer Press ? 😛
…. my gawd, I just realized I need a titan sized Warjack (☆ ____ ☆)
… not colossal size… TITAN size 😀
Jab? I thought they just stuck their middle finger up at them…
you can clearly see that they had been inspired by warjacks frpm PP especialy heads, they don’t look like medieval helmets at all
Except some Imperial Knight models from epic had sci fi medieval heads over a decade earlier. So I don’t think GW are copying for once!
The name, maybe a middle finger at PP!
I just read @motioninpoetry so it not just me
Dribble…
Love it I just love it.
OMG, I just saw the price lol. How tall is this thing?
Like like like, and yes, it does cost quite a bit, but a lot of people spend that amount, and more in a month on boozy nights out, with nothing to show for it, except hazy memories.
well said Sarah, at least this way you have something to show for your weekend afterwards 🙂
One of the reasons why I am a teetotaler… 😉
I left the hobby due to drink and girls and returned due to hangovers and children, I doubt I’m alone in this
And instead of putting more guns on the enormous construct they made the right arm a 100% dedicated sword arm. Are these titan swords also capable of shooting something or are they pure melee?
Converting the sword to a flail might make more sense. Destroy buildings/structures.. crush light armor. Also it could actually reach the ground without bending over, unlike the sword.
I don’t think it’s supposed to stab things that close to the ground. IIRC the fluff correctly this and the lancer were designed fore melee-ing enemy titans/gargantuan creatures, hence they are so much taller than the regular knights
Well in 40k guns all look cooler than they perform, just there to soften up things for the high tech melee weapons. Technology is a forgotten art, just not when it comes to swords and axes.
I think I love this one even more, CERASTUS KNIGHT-ACHERON
