Games Workshop has been showing off a new upgrade sprue coming out for the Astra Militarum of Warhammer 40,000. Will it be for a long-lost regiment that has finally been brought back to the tabletop? No. It's a Cadian one.

The set comes with weapons, kit, heads, arms, new bodies and more for you to use when building your units of Cadians. Despite having their planet blown to piece, the Cadians do tend to get about a bit. Despite my jesting earlier, this is actually a rather cool upgrade sprue and I like the options they have included, especially with the tools and other bits of kit that the Cadians have been lugging about.

I like the good mix of new head options in the set and that lasgun sunk into the ground is a good option for an objective marker in your games.

You can make some pretty awesome miniatures with the set like this Wounded Guardsman who has seen better days. If your legs still work and the trigger finger moves, you better keep fighting in the name of The Emperor.

You might even find some time to match up one of your wounded comrades with the aid of a Medic perhaps? Well, there are options in the kit for you to do that as well.

I think that this set is going to be great for those customising their units in Warhammer 40,000 but it would also be great for those who want to make unique Kill Teams. You could use this to make a beleaguered squad that has been sent behind enemy lines. Expendable is the name of the game!
