November 17, 2023 by brennon
Games Workshop and Weta Workshop have now revealed the first of the statues in their new series. The collaboration has brought us a Warhammer 40,000 icon in the form of the mighty Lieutenant Titus as he looks in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II video game.

This 1:6 scale statue of Lieutenant Titus is no joke and comes expertly crafted by the team at Weta and painted to perfection. It will also blow your hobby budget wide coming in at $1199 for just the Battleline Edition. Admittedly, when you see the work that has gone into these statues you can imagine why it costs quite as much as it does!

The Battleline Edition of Lieutenant Titus shows him stomping on the face of a Tyrand with chainsword at the ready. He also has a swappable LED helmet or you can go with his bare head if you like so you can see Titus glowering at his foes as they dare to stand before him.
If you go for the Limited Edition, you get a few extra options!

You get more blood and gore on the weapons and yes, a massive Thunder Hammer for Titus to use when slaying his Tyranid foes. A pretty impressive statue that manages to capture the look and feel of the Space Marines in all of their bloody glory.
As well as the new statue for Lieutenant Titus, there are also plans to create a statue for Abaddon The Despoiler and Saint Celestine. So, it doesn't look like Weta Workshop is going to be stopping anytime soon. It will be fascinating to see how many folks end up picking up these statues!
If you're perhaps tempted to dive into the stories of Lieutenant Titus, you can also download a Warhammer 40,000 battle to play based on the battles from the first Space Marine video game.
Could you be tempted to get this for yourself?

no.
Who has a hobby budget that size?! That’s mortgage budget. I’ll 3d print a statue if I really want one, on a printer a quarter of the cost of that statue.
Ahahahahahheckno
Luv me Emprah
It’s official: Games Workshop have jumped the shark. It’s all over from here.
Absolute insanity. Weta – that’s the fat bastard who ruined Lord of the Rings, right? Jackson? Nah. He doesn’t need any more cheeseburgers.
This thing’s cast in solid gold, right?
Okay, devil’s advocate here: I don’t think that $1199 is such an unfair price. Considering that a primaris space marine is supposedly about 2.40m tall, that would mean that the marine alone would be 40cm tall! Judging from the photo, you can add another 20cm for the base and ‘nid. That’s a proper Wētā bigature (their term) at a whopping 60cm! So, consider the material cost. Then, add to that the hours of work going into painting it and adding electronics for the shiny eyes, properly some very nice premium packaging. Is it a lot of money? HUGE YES. But… Read more »
Visited the link, the actual specs are 95cm x 44cm x 69cm at 25kg. Holy….
If I had the disposable income I would buy one.
Such an outpouring of hate! My word, some people just like to complain.
