Games Workshop’s Blood Bowl Hits The Table & Legio Custodes Soon!

Retailers have been getting their hands on the new Blood Bowl boxed set allowing fans to get a taste of what the new game has to offer from Games Workshop. This means we got to see the box and it's final contents hitting the tabletop...
These images were shared from War Of Sigmar who snapped up the images from Alliance Open House and their gaming event where they got to show off Blood Bowl in action. I really like the new cover art, a twist on a familiar scene.
We've known what was in the set for a while now but this gives you a good idea of how it's going to look when you get it onto the tabletop. I'm very tempted to pick up a new copy of the game, whose rules have stayed the same, in order to refresh my love for this Specialist Game.
I know for sure that I'd have to give myself a bit of a refresher as to the rules as I've been relying on the digital versions of the game to do all of the behind the scenes maths!
Legio Custodes Reporting For Duty
The Burning Of Prospero is indeed coming thanks to the leaked image from the cover of the November White Dwarf (HERE) and with that came news of plastic Adeptus Custodes for your Horus Heresy era gaming!
These shining gold warriors look to be making an appearance against the Thousand Sons and we'd assume the Space Wolves are included in there too somewhere. It should make for a rather popular boxed set we reckon!
The magazine will also come with a download key to add Grombrindal into your Warhammer: Total War games. Free gifts aplenty it seems from White Dwarf these days!

The blood bowl release looks really good. It’s been on display at WHW during a recent event even had my grubby paws on the models for a few minutes they look great……. also Prospero Burns box set should be great… Custodes, sisters of silence and mk3 space marines all in plastic!
That Blood Bowl box will be my first GW purchase in long, long time.
Plastic Custodes, AdMech, Deathwatch, Generalstealer cults…..next we will get plastic SoB!!! Wish I still played 40k but (imo) the rules are pants! Get them sorted out and I’ll be back on board!
Yup, that’s the one thing GW need to do with 40k now is to make the rules a bit less bloaty. I play it still but seems even as regular players, we forget or get wrong a fair few rules most games. That and the silly formations and out of date codices really can make for a sour experience sometimes.
Its not often you pray for a new GW rule set but this time round it is definitely required.
Gw certainly hitting the wants list. Bloodbowl I’ll pass as I have the rules and prefer the character of older models. Just picking up Heresy but I cannot see me resisting the Prospero box, adds to my fledgling heresy force and custodes. Add in stealer cult for nostalgia and the Hobbit new releases they are shouting for my hobby money. Of course Steamforfed, warlord and gripping beast are shouting as well. Add in knight models and Corvus Belli putting out goodness in tempting boxes I need a better paid job. Big plus for GW is they are in the mix… Read more »
Blood Bowl and Plastic Custodes spotted the day after I hear there’ll be a reprint of Kingdom Death? Holy Hells, I’m going to finish 2016 without a cent to my name.
Has there been any confirmation of the RRP for Blood Bowl yet? I’ll be buying it anyway, but I’d like to know in advance how much it’ll sting.
Not only are we getting plastic Custodes, I also spy Mk.2 (or Mk.3) armour as well as Tartaros pattern termi armour 😀
