New Blood Angel Terminator Leaks For Warhammer 40k!
December 9, 2014 by brennon
The new Blood Angel miniatures for next week that will continue their return to Warhammer 40,000 from Games Workshop have hit the internet. Not only are they getting a new Terminator Librarian but also some Assault Terminators too. A new campaign supplement called Exterminatus is on the way as well...
The Assault Terminators come with a lot of Lightning Claws like the artwork featured above. Each of them appears to have an Iron Halo as well although if that's just something aesthetic, I'm sure you'll let us know. The captain comes in a 'come at me bro' style pose and with the now trademark fangs of the Greek/Vampire Blood Angels.
More also comes your way in the form of the Librarian and the Exterminatus campaign book. This book will no doubt continue the narrative put forward in Deathstorm. I think the Librarian is pretty impressive and it reminds me of an old stance that we saw in metal once upon a time. He stand with his staff held back in one hand and the other outstretched as if casting a psychic power at the enemy. He also looks incredibly serious.
The Assault Terminators are cool although I'm not such a fan of the more knuckleduster looking lightning claws. I would have preferred them being more built into the fists.
What do you think of these new Blood Angels?

Still think the SH termies look better .. the librarian is a pretty cool model, but id give him an assault cannon or the like .. or two and loose the axe/pistol. Why are space marines not putting more faith in their targeters and superhuman reflexes?
Sweet!!! Love me some Angels of Death!!!!!
Those look good enough but those are nothing special really.
I really dislike the knuckleduster style of claws too. I don’t know why GW don’t ditch the design and go back to how they used to be. I’ve never met anyone who prefers the current look.
from where I stand, if you like 40K, buy minis from FW. GW is over rated, the only good thing is the IP and their books, their games are so dated, and apart from giving us the same armies with a new set of wings and a clumsy new super armor, they haven’t moved their story line one bit or explore further their amazingly rich IP. GW change you format, change you approach to game, close half you store to make the other half more friendly, bring back the boxed game, and stop releasing the same armies again and again… Read more »
Forge world costs twice as much -at least- for comparative products from what I’ve seen. They have some really cool models but I can’t justify spending £30 on a single small battlesuit when i could get a riptide for £36. Or a FW razorback heavy bolter for £14 when a full GW razorback with their heavy bolter and las cannons only costs £18! also, the only thing I’ve owned from FW was that twin linked razorback heavy bolter when I was at Warhammer World a few months back, and the bits were slightly warped and don’t quite fit. Looked it… Read more »
from past experience with FW, they are very good at replacing bits that aren’t good enough for you. It might be a bit late, but next time, I would advise you to call them and ask for a new part. If the bendy problem is the only issue you have, try a bit of warm water, unbend it, then cool water.
FW range is more an experienced range more than a beginner range but if you like great mini, you re in for a treat ^^
Or you could play newer better games with miniatures that are half the price. 🙂
I really can’t understand why GW are releasing a second space marine captain in terminator armour, a terminator librarian and assault terminators.
I imagine most BA players will own the models from Space Hulk, which gives them a terminator librarian, two terminator squads and a spare space marine with lightning claws (which I painted up as a captain).
Also Deathstorm contained a terminator captain and terminators. This makes all the new releases largely redundant.
This was the problem with the Death Storm set: I have Space Hulk, why do I want any more Blood Angel terminators? Or indeed another Broodlord?
i am assuming a C&D landed on the doorstep from the looks of it?
I’d be interested to see the communities thoughts on if we are that fussed about the leak details or just waiting for BoW to report in line with official release to avoid the messing about with GW?
Yup discussions ongoing…
Well that was expected. Maybe too expected. It would be nice if GW would allow these leaks to be shown. Then again if wishes were horses and all that stuff.
I don’t currently purchase GW minis or play GW games so I’m not directly affected by this. I do keep an eye on the industry in general so am interested in seeing what GW are releasing. If BoW could no longer post leaks then it wouldn’t affect whether I came to the site, though.
Likewise, I am a happy member of BoW with or without GW. Seeing their release in advance can at best hyped me up crazy and at worst…. Well I would not have but the product anyway if it is to the standar of their actual production. However, If GW goes to war against all interesting blog/website based around the hobby news, it will drive me away even more than I am from GW. Nobody is hurting their reputations but themself by attacking the community and their source of information.
well, if there are no pictures, it is harder to mock them, other than on general principles.
maybe that is the reason?
It does seem like most anything they release these days get a metric buttload of spite and mockery.
