The Big Foot Of A Titan Takes The Glory In Forge World Bulletin
April 28, 2015 by brennon
Forge World have shown off something that got a lot of people a bit giddy with excitement. If you remember a week or so ago we looked at the teaser trailer for their new Horus Heresy book where it seems like Warlord Titans are on the menu. Well, here is its foot...
Now that is huge. While my immediate thought was "it has very weak ankles" it does look like there are sockets that will act as ways to link to the main leg and not just leave it swiveling on a ball joint.
The really big thing we want to see is the body of course! We reckon that they're going to offer this up as the main body and legs with arms as separate options.
What do you think?

The round sockets on the feet, and the pegs on the lower legs are for pistons to be added.
And when pinned with a 4 mm brass rod, the ankle will be stable enough.
Assuming those joints on top of the toes are connection points for the pistons operating this foot the will be really huge as well. And they will stabilize the model a lot. Well wait and see how it looks like when it’s done 🙂
“Miniatures”
And thats why I have migrate to 10 mm xD
That is nuts !
Now thats a big foot!
Can’t afford one. Don’t have the modeling or painting skill for one. Want one though.
In fairness, it’s big enough that you could use a rad roller to do it lol.
Rollers are the new airbrushes.
And to weather it you just take it outside and actually let it weather lol
Drop it off on Salisbury Plain for some extra-realistic battle damage.
lol that is going to be a monster
I really don’t want to know how much this will cost…
Me think this is going to be nasty might have to cut a arm and leg off to get 1 and throw my kids in to 🙁
That looks like it’s gonna be the dogs dangley’s!! Lol
At this juncture the term ‘miniature’ just seems… inadequate, somehow. That leg is clearly missing pistons, exterior armour plates, and sundry other bits and peices, and will doubtless be even bigger when completed.
Apart from anything else, how the heck is one supposed to fit this thing in the average gaming space, not to mention actually move it around? By the looks of it this ‘miniature’ will be at least the size of a six year old child when it is finished.
The concept is awesome (and very, very silly), but the practicalities seem daunting.
Don’t exaggerate! I would say a 4 year old child at most!
Six year old child… thats it, we don’t need one of these! Just get a box and put it on a child and there you have it your own titan! Who needs miniatures when you can have kids be your miniatures 😛
Forgeworld to the MAX!
At what point does all this become a bit silly, not that I don’t envy the guys building it and also that I don’t desire one, just to see the look on my opponents face when I place it on the table (after several hours of unpacking and structural calculations to make sure the gaming table can take the load!). Forgeworld is out of the price range of most gamers but this is going to be for oligarchs only.
another darn thing to drool over?
…is that vac-formed?
I hope it is intended to be a terrain piece. It probably isn’t.
As someone who loved Adeptus Titanicus (Apologies for incorrect spelling of name.) think I’d like to own 12 of these with all the various arm options….
Oh the wife advises me that I can’t sell the house to buy these… sigh.
