Assault From Underground With Forge World’s Termite Assault Drill

Get stuck into an assault from underground with Forge World and their new Terraz Pattern Termite Assault Drill. Why wouldn't you want one of these?
"A specialised transport vehicle, the Termite is capable of deploying a full squad of warriors onto the battlefield whilst bypassing enemy fortifications and sentries. It is capable of tunnelling rapidly through even the densest of materials at speeds comparable to surface transport craft, thanks to the grinding drill of the Termite which utilises a linked array of melta-cutters and phase-shield generators to aid in its progress.
Once at its target location, it emerges onto the surface, or even directly into the lower level of macrofortifications, scattering nearby enemies with its melta-cutters before disgorging its deadly cargo."
This is one mammoth vehicle as you'll see by the scale comparison below. It is very much a brute force weapon, smashing through enemy fortifications with ease and in many cases just bypassing them.
There are rules for fielding one of these in both the Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000 so if you've got an Imperial force that needs some alternative means of attacking the enemy this might be it.
I think this might be one of those vanity purchases though (as much as you can have one of those in our hobby). It doesn't seem like it will be getting a whole lot of game time but it will look very nice on the mantlepiece.
What do you think?

It would make a decent terrain piece.
These things were part of the epic scale Squat army back in the day. GW should just bring back Squasts now and quit flirting.
It’s nice but at £75 you could get 3 of mantics drills, which look pretty much the same.
So true! £24.99 from Mantic http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/warpath/veer-myn/product/tunneller.html
Looks good.
Should be painted yellow, and needs to be accompanied by a green Thunderhawk Tansporter.
;P
Price kills it.
This falls under a common category for FW models: “I have no need for this. I want one.”
Takes me back to Epic days when I had a fleet of these – superb Epic scale model and this looks good too. Far better than the Mantic one, but as previously said price kills.

Not bad. I’d like to Steampunkify it a bit somehow for use with my Chaos Dwarves.
Iron Daemon maybe? Won’t be able to tunnel, but that’s probably the closest fit, especially if you use it as the Skullcrusher version.
