Warhammer 40,000 will soon be visited by two re-released heroes this weekend as pre-orders go up for the characters and new troops from The Blood Of The Phoenix. We start with the Aeldari and the release of Jain Zar.

Jain Zar - 40K

Snag Yourself A New Warhammer 40,000 Army @ Store.OnTableTop

This whirling dervish of deadly blades is a rather good addition to your Aeldari force if you're looking to absolutely master the art of close combat. She can dive right in and hack apart pretty much anything with her weapons. This miniature certainly took the idea of big characters being posed precariously on small bits of masonry to a new level!

As well as Jain Zar you'll also be able to pick up her opposite number from the Drukhari. Here is where Drazhar comes in, a combat master in his own right and looking to claim more spirit stones for his own.

Drazhar - 40K

Both of these warriors are fantastic close combat characters and they are now going to be available to everyone without having to snag yourself the larger set. It is nice that Games Workshop eventually releases these miniatures into the wild; you just have to wait a while before you can add them to your army.

These characters are then supported by the release of two new plastic kits for their respective forces. On the one side, you have the Howling Banshees who were in much need of an updated kit...

...and you also have the Incubi who will be bringing their own brand of terror and brutality to the tabletop. Armed with their deadly two-handed weapons they bring an edge of brute strength to a force which is otherwise almost entirely dominated by dexterity and acrobatic guile.

It's nice to see these models finally get released in their own boxes and hopefully there will be more later on down the line to help expand the flagging Xenos factions in Warhammer 40,000.

What do you think of the new re-releases?
