Warhammer 40,000: Aeldari Craftworlds Codex
October 21, 2017 by dignity
We get up close and personal with the new Codex for the Aeldari in Warhammer 40,000.
The codex is packed with new art and information about the Aeldari, bringing their background up to "present day" in the 40k lore.
As well as that it's got plenty of new and updated rules for you to tinker around with as you explore the deeper psychic edge to the Aeldari and learn to master their tactical nuances.
Which Craftworld is your favourite and what do you think of our in-house list?

It’s nice that GW chose to publish codices for two xenos races instead of just going with Imperium and Chaos.
I am still going to call them Eldar because that’s what we have known them as for long time and I find Aeldari to be silly name.
It’s like the guard. They can add a ridiculous name. But they’re still the imperial guard.
And I’m still calling them Eldar too… so :-p @ GW
They are just doing it for copyright reasons, it feels bad to understand why GW are doing silly things but still Aelfs? Aelfs?! can you have someone put more than five minutes into doing the name?!
Yikes. Looks like the Wraithknight has not taken a reduction in points. That’s damned disappointing. Rest of it looks bloody awesome though!
Well the Knight got a buff in Iyanden army lists; plus I think it’s buffing support got a bit cheaper?
Oh look elves ……………………………………………………………………………………………… *goes back to patiently waiting for squats.**
**(the author of this comments notes that he will be waiting an eternity, but none the less wait he shall)
a good dwarf is a patient dwarf.
we hold our grudges welll past what the lesser races would consider ‘long’.
For some reason my mind is stuck on :
“We will … we will … squat you !”
I think this absolutely calls for a fan codex and a ton of AoS Blimp dwarf conversions.
Your Squat army has arrived. Just play non-Primaris marines. They’re plenty small enough. 😛
If i remember correctly the Tyranids ate the Space Dwarves. If they do come back, Gee Dubs will give them a goofy new name.
Let’s take a look =
Eldar —-> aeldari
Squats —–> psquatoi
I know they have an more traditional race name. I don’t remember it. I prefer ppppppssssss-quatoi.
A Riverdancing Wraithknight? Well, there’s an image that’s going to be stuck in my head for a few days, lol 😀
The wave serpent has always been a solid transport choice. The issue in this edition is that you’re not really limited by the number of choices you can take for Heavy Support, so you’re not falling back onto the Wave Serpent as a decent alternative to the Falcon and Fire Prism.
The Warhammer Community page had an article on it demonstrating that the combined shot for the Prism Cannon on a Fireprism is now a stratagem ability called Linked Fire, and is similar to Kill Shot for Space Marine Predator tanks. You nominate a Fireprism, choose a target for that Fireprism with normal range and line of sight restriction, spend a stratagem point, and that Fireprism fires at its target at the end of the shooting phase. All other Fireprisms joining the combined shot need line of sight to, and to be within 60″ of, the nominated Fireprism, and are treated… Read more »
I love the god avatar is he still in the game.
Both the Avatar of Khaine and the Yncarne are still in the Aeldari list – you can get two alien gods in the same army if you work at it a bit Zorg…
Ya’ll know that only the Space Marines and Deathgaurd codexes have had new art work, the rest is just recycled from 7th edition. Super lazy imo
That’s not even close to true, sorry. There’s been plenty of new art. There’s tons of new art in the Eldar Codex.
