Aeldari Combat Patrol On The Way For Warhammer 40,000

Games Workshop has dropped another preview for what's popping up for Aeldari collectors (or inspiring collectors) in the near future. April will bring us a new Combat Patrol for those looking to dive into some Warhammer 40,000 as the Space Elves!

As it says on the box, this offers up a new Aeldari Combat Patrol for you to use in your first few games of Warhammer 40,000. Inside the set, you get yourself a Farseer to lead the way, changing the Strands Of Fate to help your army.

This is then followed up by a band of Guardian Defenders (or Storm Guardians) which can be used to form the core of your force. You also get six Windriders that offer up the speed and agility that is famed amongst the Aeldari. This certainly skews things further towards you diving into a Craftworld like Saim-Hann!

The Combat Patrol is then capped off by the addition of a Wraithlord which is still one of my favourite kits amongst the Aeldari range. As someone who enjoys playing as Iyanden, more ghostly spirit warriors is always a good thing.

This certainly seems like a better option for those getting started with Aeldari. The previous Start Collecting set was fine for me as I liked the Wraithguard and Wraithlord but it didn't come with any Guardians and it also featured a War Walker (bleurgh).
This set feels a lot more helpful for newcomers and allows you to take things in a few different directions. It should work nicely for those seeking to build any of the main Aeldari Craftworlds.
Are you tempted to snap this up in April?

Seems like solid boxed set to me.
Fab looking new figures?
I see GM have removed Aeldari Rangers from their product range. I do hope it’s only because an updated version is imminent and not gone forever.
I suspect it is because they are part of the incoming Eldar killteam box.
Probably the same time scale as the new Ork commando’s and plastic Krieg were released …
So … finally the Eldar get actual troops in their ‘start collecting/combat patrol’ box …
