40K Kill Team: Nachmund Pre-Orders Drop This Weekend
March 7, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop is getting ready to dive into the next boxed set for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. The war zone on Nachmund is next and sees the Chaos Space Marines clashing with the deadly Voidscarred Corsairs.

Another planet and continued fighting await two different factions. On the one hand, you have the quick and agile Voidscarred Corsairs. They are a mix of Aeldari from the Asuryani, Drukhari and even the enigmatic Harlequins and Exodites who have come together to plunder ships that crawl through the darkness of space.

The set comes with a number of specialists who use weapons from across the Aeldari spectrum. Combined, they are a deadly force that can strike from nowhere and vanish before you know what's hit you. I can see a lot of people using these in Kill Team but also in full Warhammer 40,000 armies. The bitz in this kit would also be great for anyone looking to convert up models in their army.
Set against them are the forces of the Chaos Space Marines. Whilst the core of this plastic kit remains the same as previous releases, the twist here comes courtesy of a new sprue which offers up the additional weapon and customisation options.
Chaos Space Marines // Warhammer 40,000
You have the happiest Chaos Space Marine in the world of course ( bottom centre) but it would have been nice to see them do a lot more with the Chaos Space Marines. Whilst I'm sure folks will have fun with this, it would have been neat to see them play around with more mutations and such to add some more character to the squad.
It would also have been nice to see them do something with the idea of Cultists. A lot of Chaos Warbands would perhaps feature a handful of Chaos Space Marines leading traitors to the Imperium drawn from the citizenry of worlds they have influenced.
Separate from the boxed game, Games Workshop are also going to be releasing these two Dice Sets for the factions in the box.

They come in Kill Team orange and black and feature a Chaos or Corsair symbol in place of a six. They do look slick and I'm sure folks will snap them up even if they're not playing games of Kill Team.
Kill Team: Chalnath
If you missed out on Kill Team: Chalnath which was released last year, the two Kill Teams from that boxed game are now going to be made available this weekend.
Pathfinders & Novitiates // Warhammer 40,000
You'll be able to pick up the new Pathfinder set which features updated bitz for these T'au specialists. You've also got an entirely new unit for the Adepta Sororitas in the form of the Novitiates. So, if you're looking to test the mettle of your newly inducted Sisters Of Battle, this might be worth a shot.
The other components of that boxed game are also going to be making an appearance. The Kill Team: Chalnath book is also going to be up for pre-order this weekend.

New terrain rules and such are included here. You'll also find ways to explore War Zone Vedick and special rules delving into Acts Of Faith and Saviour Protocols. Match that with the new set of Shadow Operations and you'll have more ways to play Kill Team.
Last but not least, some terrain from the Chalnath set...
Killzone Chalnath Terrain // Warhammer 40,000
These echo the old school Gothic Ruins that so many of us used as cover for our Warhammer 40,000 games back in the day. You get two bigger ruins in this set as well as a bit of scatter. You could also use these to make a larger piece of terrain by using the ruins as the limits of "area terrain". Fill it with rubble and away you go.
Two newly updated factions for Kill Team and a bunch of previously released options for those who missed out. A pretty good time to be diving into Kill Team.
Are you tempted by Nachmund and if so, which faction works for you?

Love the terrain especially the damaged building group.
