Another great show, really enjoyed all of the Tau pieces you have done. I guess the easiest way to view the two commanders is that they are two sides of the same coin. Farsight himself, you are not supposed to know what he faced (many theories online) but, on that planet is where he discovered his sword, the dawn blade. I think it is genuinely accepted that it is the dawn blade that his extending his life. The origin of the Dawn Blade is never fully explained, but given the looks of it I would suspect it to be tied to the Necrons, C’tan or even the Old Ones. The blade looks much to clean and sharp to be daemonic in the GW aesthetic. But it does look very similar to the weapons the Ushabti from the Khemri army are carrying. Since Necrons are kind of the sci-fi version of Khemri that could lead to the conclusion that it is an ancient Necrontyr weapon. I’m playing through the Damocles Crusade at the moment and thought it was pretty recent in 40k history… Interesting stuff I’ve learned today!
