Voted down,
I know I shouldn’t feed your fetish but as long as it makes you happy 🙂
It’s all about the little things
I really like how these models evolved from the old Wraiths. It’s nice to see them look a bit different than just Necrons with long tails.
They remind me of the sentinel from the matrix, keeping an eye on the world
@toxicvex first, last who cares!
Funny thing: just started collecting Necrons and was assembling the first of two boxes of wraiths while watching that video – nice timing! What weapons do you suggest? The guy in the GW shop suggested whip coils – although I fear the little thin things will snap on the first transport- 🙁
The war between the Necrons and the Old Ones, happened millions of years before intelligent life even existed on earth. This war came to a close when the Necrons turned on their C’tan allies, breaking the energy beings into thousands of shards, and imprisoning them in Tesseract Vaults.
After this act of betrayal, the necrons realised they couldn’t hope to win the war, so they retreated to their tomb worlds, in a bid to outlast the old ones.
I hope that answers some of your questions, and great episode guys, keep them coming.
Cool. I think i will have to look more in depth at the Nectons soon. Really cool back story to these guys.
a giant mechanical facehugger with a MkII sonic screwdriver that can ghost though anything in the road and is virtually indestructible.
would a volcano cannon be good at killing them @aj86
A volcano cannon is pretty good at killing anything. 🙂 Having said that you still need to roll high for the volcano cannon to cut through the 3+ invuln.
@mkus- whip coils are the best. They give you the support where you sorely need it with necrons: at the initiative step.
My friend is a necron player and always fields some of these. They are really tricky to kill due to good toughness, wounds and save values. Make lots of shots and force them to take multiple saves. I play eldar and a 10 strong squad of avengers with guide and doom psychic powers will normally do it. Can work with guardians as well.
AJ have not even tell Warren about the Canotek Harvest Formation. Now those Wraiths can only be killed by D weapons i tell you.
Yer the formation where they can get regeneration protocols makes them super tuff killing machines…my necrons are the only 40k bits I’ve kept hold of…models are very cool..
Dark Eldar splinter fire does the trick. Lots and lots of poison wounding on 4s forces a lot of 3+ saves.
