With the festive season fast approaching, Games Workshop has revealed the new Battleforces for 2024 covering both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age Of Sigmar.

Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces

Each of the Battleforces for this year has been designed to slot in nicely with an existing Combat Patrol for each army. The idea is that duplicates of elite elements have been avoided and they have been designed to suit a particular Detatchment or Regiment Of Renown in both games so they are more usable for veterans and new players.

Retaliation Cadre Battleforce // Warhammer 40,000

Tying the Battleforces to the rules for the game is a good move as it makes them more enticing as picks for people looking to splash the cash over Christmas. The sets for Warhammer 40,000 come with characters, big elite units and more that could supplement the Combat Patrol that you might have picked up this year.

Inner Circle Task Force Battleforce // Warhammer 40,000

Hypercrypt Legion Battleforce // Warhammer 40,000

I think the Inner Circle Task Force is going to be a particular favourite for folks since it comes with The Lion himself. The Hypercraft Legion is also very nice and mixes together some more elite units with big characters. Thankfully, as an Aeldari player, none of these are going to tempt my wallet this time around!

Warhammer Age Of Sigmar Battleforces

As well as the Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces, you can also pick up nice sets for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar.

Much like with Warhammer 40,000, these have been designed to work alongside existing Spearheads and such so that you can expand on an existing army.

The Wrekkamob is particularly nice for fans of greenskins looking to enhance their mob of muscle. I like that it comes with the revamped Orruk Ardboyz and their elite options which were released relatively recently.

Charnel Grand Jury Battleforce // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

All of these look nice and give you a splendid selection of new miniatures for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar collections. If you know someone collecting one of these armies then you might have found a bumper present for them. You could also just treat yourself!
