Watch New Mordheim City Of The Damned Gameplay Trailer!

Above is a gameplay trailer for Mordheim: City of the Damned which has been adapted by Rogue Factor for PC. The game certainly looks different to how I'd imagined it...
The gameplay is still turn based but gone are the squares or hexes you might have imagined. In their place are action rings giving you a little more freedom to run around and position the various members of your warband. I think I saw the game as being something a bit more top down but there is still a good tactical element to the gameplay it seems.
Away from that the combat looks brutal and warriors go down very easily, as you might imagine, and it looks like injuries carry over and show on the members of your warband too.
It would be cool to see a little more interaction and animation between the various participants in combat however (this is gameplay from an earlier build of the game). Doesn't really feel very visceral and Warhammer if your enemy just stands there and flinches a little when he gets hit with a bloomin' great hammer.
Check out the game on Steam now too!
What do you think?

Wow! That movement system is incredibly clever!
Looks so good! Hope i can have a Skaven warband!
Seems like they really got the movement system from Valkyrie Chronicles. Wich all in all is not a bad think, quite the contrary. 🙂 just funny to see that quite some years later on someone uses it. Can’t wait for the release!
Well…VC wasn’t the first game to use that movement system and the system is in fact shared in many games. It’s very basic but also quite functional.
Awesome! I was expecting an XCOM style game (certainly no bad thing) but this looks great.
