Star Wars Battlefront Trailer – The Force Is Strong With This One
April 17, 2015 by lloyd
The trailer for the upcoming game Star Wars: Battlefront has finally hit the internet. There was some early footage, just glimpses really already out but now we get the full on assault in the new trailer.
In the game you will be able to switch between first person and third person perspectives, drive vehicles, play as iconic heroes and play in battles with a player cap of forty which is pretty awesome.
If you are able to pre-order the game then you can get in a little early with a special surprise in the Battle of Jakku...
"The pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
This content will then become available to other gamers once the game has launched. You'll have a week ahead of time to get used to the game in this frenetic battle.
Will you be playing Battlefront?
That game looks very promising indeed!!
This does look great. However, always remember that they add in hud and everything moves so quickly that you’ll never be able to study things for very long. I’m off to try and play some Battlefront II.

I think it looks awesome and would like to have an awesome game with awesome graphics than an awesome game with good graphics. Of course this may not BE an awesome game lol, but here’s hoping! ^_-
Of course I can envision that my KDR will suck because I will just walk around looking at the awesome battlefield. 😛
You can join and have fun sprinting round yelling “0MG I leik pwn j00!” in a crazy blur if you wish. 🙂
Little bit of wee came out.
Think mine may have been more than wee…
Not to nit-pick, the video claims “Game Engine Footage” not “In-Game Footage” like they normally do. The thing looks amazing, but I’m wondering if this is Game Engine render of cut-scenes, and not live 40 player games…
Oh, it’s definitely a cut-scene. The animation is probably pieced together from actual in-game animation, but it’s been baked into one scene. It’s also possible that they captured frames at a lower frame rate than real-time and played them back at 30 or 60fps. This is not how it will look when you play. But it will probably be as good as Battlefield 4.
Always liked battlefront, hope this one turns out good 🙂
I do hope there are a few prequel era maps on offer. The shiny (often literally) new tech and it’s application to this kind of warfare was one of the coolest things about AotC and RotS 😀
Hmm, now that I think about it, a lot of what made BF2 so good appears to be absent; the Clone Wars eta stuff, space battles and as far as I can tell, the SP campaign (although to be fair, that was really just a bunch of the MP maps strung together).
Phooey.
That video makes me feel a way that I normally require lotion and kleenex for.
By that I mean, it makes me forget my chapped hands and runny nose.
What did you think I meant?
Too bad it is being made by DICE that makes it a pass for me.
I’d be more worried about EA developing the game. They use to make things go faster, no matter what you left in the way. They use to give you 50% finished games that you already paid (often through a preorder… first take the money, then we’ll see.. and don’t forget to HURRY to give us your money because if you don’t you will never get that stupid mod we really didn’t mean to sell). AND they also use to show us great graphics to dream about a perfect game, and expectations are not matched by the gameplay or even real… Read more »
Loved the old Battlefront games, and this one looks like a great follow up. This might be the first game I pre-order in a few years.
Love DICE. Always enjoy their games. I am looking forward to this.
No gungans, younglings, or midichlorians? Doesn’t look very much like Star Wars…
What was that actual, game footage? I have a passion for the artwork in these games, yes I am older and as a result missed out on the gaming revolution I was doing other stuff elsewhere at the time of it all changing from what was a joy stick games controller to buttons. I now have some issues with hand co-ordenation amongst other, I cannot follow the play when it is too fast. 3D films forget. But I really really enjoy seeing the games in action. why cant they make decent films with these type of footage, eg, the poor… Read more »
Makes me want to play as the Imperials, poor guys just don’t stand a chance. Always makes me laugh that the storm troopers are being shot in the chest, die burning in vehicles, meanwhile the rebel soldiers are just sent spinning through the air and then get up just brushing themselves off afterwards. 😀
I want to see the rebel soldiers get a direct hit from the AT-ST 😀
will there be a PC release does anyone know?
It’s coming to Xbox one, pc and ps4
that looks good.
I might even buy one of those computer box doodah’s to play that
