Victrix Shows Off Final Preview Of Angry Plastic Vikings!
September 21, 2018 by brennon
Victrix has been showing off some more of their awesome Plastic Vikings which are going to be coming out very soon indeed. Here we have a final look at a lot of the options open to you when you crack them out of the box and get the clippers ready.
These images show off some of the designs that you can work with from the plastic kit. You can have a range of Vikings armed with double-handed weapons like the Dane Axe, or have them carrying both sword and shield into combat instead.
As you can see above they also have options for command elements so if you're creating a mass battle force this might be good for you too.
It should be stressed that the shield designs are NOT part of the model kit but you might find them from the likes of Little Big Men Studios who do some wonderful transfers for ranges like this. The same goes for the banners. These again are NOT part of the kit and will have to be purchased separately.
The thing I really like about these particular models is that they have so much dynamism to them. Even when you were looking back at the more prim and proper Romans that Victrix do, they all seemed to be in the middle of doing something, adding movement and realism to a unit. The same goes for these Vikings.
I thought I had pretty much left the idea of collecting SAGA behind but these models might just get me back into it. To be honest, I would find it hard to recommend anyone building the likes of the Gripping Beast plastic kit with this one around, especially if the price is good.
Don't get me wrong, the Gripping Beast plastic set is great and comes with lots of options for building a force, but these models are just superb.
I can't wait to see what they do for the likes of Anglo-Saxons and Normans!

Why do you need the clippers? They’re fully clothed!
That was worth a like and a snigger
Ditto
They look great.
Victirix are insane value for money, and the quality is coming on leaps and bounds. I don’t need any Vikings but I want some now
Same here, I need more vikings like I need a hole in the head…but clearly I will be buying some!
