Unfeasibly Miniatures Mount Up & Join The French Foreign Legion
March 18, 2015 by brennon
Unfeasibly Miniatures are a company that specialise in the historical and the pulp and they've headed off into the desert to join the French Foreign Legion with their Mounted Troops coming soon...
These soldiers are the elite of the Legion and while it might look like this is a mounted and dismounted version for use on the tabletop (which I suppose it is) it also fits with how they used to fight. There would be two soldiers assigned to a mule and they would take it in turns to ride while the other would jog alongside.
Expanding The Legion
It's not just cavalry that Unfeasibly do however as they also produce infantry on foot like the Legionnaires in Barrack Dress (pictured second) and some special characters like these 'New Recruits' based on Laurel & Hardy (pictured first). Maybe you could come up with some comical reason for why they're out there and have a scenario set up to get them out of trouble!
Foes To Fight!
It wouldn't be good to have no one to fight though once you've joined the Legion so Unfeasibly also do a line of Tuareg soldiers to pit against your forces. While they also come with guns I've highlighted these Tuareg with Swords because they would also make great warriors for a medieval army too since this style of dress and weaponry dated back to the 11th Century. Perfect for use in SAGA as Arabic warriors.
Have you fought the battles of the Foreign Legion before?

I’m so happy that I ordered Laurel and Hardy yesterday. Only hundred castings, there is a good chance they will be fast gone.
Those are rather nice. Plus Laurel & Hardy are nice touch and nod towards certain comedic duo of past from one of they movies.
Must have the L&H minis! Mecha82 – it’s no nod either. The historical legion are very tasty. My friend Derek (who was a member of Légion étrangère) will be buying these, i’ll have to tell him.
D.x “Legio Patria Nostra” or “Marche ou crève” as he would say.
I just got Laurel and Hardy. They came with 4 backpacks.
Two normal packed ones, one without the extra equipment, one which has the equipment of two backpacks on it.
