A Learned Dwarf Crafts the Runes with Spellcrow

Who would have thought I would find another Dwarf miniature to talk about today? Okay, well it wasn't that surprising I suppose but check out the Dwarf Rune Priest from Spellcrow below as a Work-in-Progress...
This model is an adaptation of the Dwarf Mage you might have seen a few weeks ago. A few changes have been made including removing his slinky slippers. I think enough of a change has been made though to have this be a great miniature to add to your collection.
Another great role-play miniature for the dungeon covered tabletop.

I’m not fond of these. The legs are almost non-existent, but the arms are proportionately quite long. Make their dwarves look like double amputees.
The arms are as long as the torso and getting longer!
This one isn’t so much a knuckle dragger as a wrist dragger.
I love the quality of detailing but the anatomy is just too silly for my tastes.
It should be mentioned that since this is a WIP, chances are he’ll have some actual feet added (hopefully in stompy steel-capped boots) but I do agree the arms are too long. It still looks good though, the replacement of the chest gem and magic axe with a runic icon and big hammer has been done seamlessly and the standard of detail is still high as ever with Spellcrow. I wouldn’t use it in an RPG personally – it was modded for WHFB dwarven fluff rather than the more free-flowing world of role-playing so it may as well be used… Read more »
being on a base rather than a cork made me think it was a finished green. Doh!
Amazed the sculptors get any work done, they must down an awful amount of wine! lol
