Command A Drow Empire In Tyrants Of The Underdark

Gale Force Nine have announced that they are working with Wizards of the Coast to produce a new Dungeons & Dragons board game by the designers of Lords of Waterdeep. Command a Drow empire in Tyrants of the Underdark.
"Designed by Peter Lee and Rodney Thompson, Tyrants of the Underdark is a competitive board game in which you play as a drow house recruiting monsters, cultists and demons to aid you in controlling locations such as Menzoberranzan and Blingdenstone.
Using power and influence as resources, Tyrants of the Underdark features multiple strategies you can use in crafting your deck of minions. Be the spymaster infiltrating your enemy's strongholds or the deadly war-leader concentrating on assassinating enemy troops.
No matter how you decide to play, whoever controls most of the Underdark at the end of the game wins, unless there's some hidden strategy in play."
This game is incredibly exciting news and we got to sit down and chat about it with John Paul Brisigotti. You can see that interview this weekend on The Weekender and gather more information about this strategic and back stabbing game of Drow intrigue.
Are you looking forward to this?

I hope they have spent the time to do their research and read R A Salvatore’s Dark Elf Trilogy. A great set of novels introducing the Drow society in all its twisted glory.
They have really gone into detail with this one – the Drow feel like Drow 🙂
