Demented Games Bring The Twisted Monkey King To Life

Demented Games have shown off another of their wonderful creations for the world of Twisted. Here we have the Monkey King in all his glory...

"...Sebastian has done a really brilliant sculpting job to capture this character. The vaguely simian yet pensive face fits his travelling character perfectly, and details such as the mechanical steampunk leg, expressive hands and the traveller's map plus compass make this miniature a real classic - a worthy addition to the Guild of Harmony faction and the Monkey King troupe!"
He really is a fascinating sculpt and I love the way they've worked in the steampunk elements of the piece. I like that he has a recognisable simian element to his features too; clearly imbued with some magic or another.
I think this would be a wonderful addition to the collections of those who game in this world and just paint the miniatures for fun. He needs some bright colours mixed in with the muted tones of his steampunk outfit to create an exotic adventurer.

At the moment I think this guy is only available in resin but as soon as they do him in metal I’ll grab him.
As nice as the sculpt appears, I’d expect a much more dynamic pose for the Monkey King. Something with acrobatics, maybe using the staff like a stripper pole for a drop kick.
Depending on the scale.. I have to pick up this model. And is that a synthetic limb i see?
He is 32mm scale too. He does have a mechanical leg 😉
I love the details that people can get on figures now, he looks great.
I love the monkey king ,he is a symbol for ignorance its self. will we get pigsy and sandy? or better yet tripitaka ?who is none other than the historical monk Xuan Zang . who did indeed make a journey to the west in order to bring the sutras to china. he is closely linked to the heart sutra from which I take my name. form is emptiness emptiness is form form is none other than emptiness emptiness is none other than form so if you didn’t know , now you do. homage to the monk from Chen Hui

Most of them lurk in the add ons as they were features as strech goals. The only one not concepted to a finished stage now is Tricia Harker (Tripitaka) who is currently under development.
