We Explore The Relics 2nd Edition Beta With The Creator
May 27, 2016 by lloyd
With Relics from Tor Gaming going through it's 2nd edition beta we thought it would be a great time to do a series of videos with Gavin Moorcroft the creator to get an in-depth look at how the game is evolving.
Download The Free Beta Rules etc.
If this has caught your interest be sure to go and check out the Downloads page so you can get started with Relics.
Special Bundles
To help make the game even more accessible Tor Gaming have created some cool Beasts Of War Bundles with a discount.
Go and have a look and let us know in the comments which is your favorite.

Really glad you got some content on Relics, the Puppets are so cool! There newer factions are wonderfully sculpted too
Apologies for the audio guys Gav’s channel was a bit noisy, but well try to do something about that for the next one 🙂
Love this game, and have been following the 2nd Beta, though only found it in the last year. Have a small Nuem force, and bit heavily on the C’thu KS beginning of the year.
Will be watching with interest
The Puppets and the Goblins are by far the best looking armies. The bird riders are incredible! Really not sure with the design of the other factions : /
The puppets are alright, but for me, it’s the Vaettir that are miles above the rest. Evil elemental fairies are apparently my thing! The Ridend are cool and I also love the Orcnar (not the most aesthetically pleasing models, but they capture the broken, misshapen look of the background really well.)
Warren you really want to take that ring off your finger already?
Wow, the sound is terrible on my end!! I’ll make sure the mic is sorted for the next one!
Great stuff Gav!
I’ve yet to get a game in of the 2nd edition rules but they’re downloaded just got to get the models on the table now. Between my Britanans, the wife’s Nuem the youngest daughter’s Vaettir and my mates Orcnar should be able to get a few games in 🙂
Downloaded the rules now to see if any one else in my group is up for this. All the factions are appealing but I think I will lay claim to Ridend
So here I am, trying to avoid the lure of another goblins and orcs army, and you show me the Ridend. *shakes fist*
I have been wanting to try Relics for awhile now, time to get stuck in. Just ordered two of the starter BOW starter bundles for my son and I to try it out; puppets and goblins, going to be fun.
Bought into this game purely on the minis but the mechanics are really fun too.
Would love to see it take off on a massive scale.
I also watched an on-line video demonstrating the basic game mechanics. So I’m inspired to giving it a try as it looks good fun. Bought a few Britanan and Nuem too.
Would people be interested in us having a board here on BoW for the 2nd Edition beta discussions and feedback.
It would certainly make it easier for us!
Gavin
If using a board makes it easier for you to collate what people are saying then I’d go ahead and do it that way.
I just properly discovered Relics at UK Games Expo and fell in love with these miniatures! The system is a lot of fun too! I’m really gutted that I didn’t watch it being played when I was at Daffcon in April, but looking forward to getting involved there next year and in any similar events before then. A couple of friends also bought armies so will definitely look to testing the 2.0 Beta rules very soon.
