If all that terrain wasn't enough we talk about the upcoming Battlezones Mega Terrain Challenge where you could win yourself a Sci-Fi Urban Quadrant (http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/battlezones/product/battlezones-sci-fi-urban-quadrant.html) from Mantic Games!

new time watcher of TheBeastsofWar but loving the show
Hi guys ! Always a pleasure to see you again on air !
If you haven’t try it, we’ve played some games of “Heroes of Normandie” for the D-Day, I especially recommand this game !
As huge fan of DeadZone (and because of you, Warren !), I’m waiting for the Ruined Quadrant.
And because my friend and I love BoW, here in France, a little cameo in my site :

What a pleasure to make some DzC with the Weekender on TV
Have a great gaming week-end, guys !
Let me win,please!
holy crap, that’s a lot of nerd lego!
My summer is pretty much booked already, so I “contribute” this idea for “fair use.” I’ve been re-playing through a ported emulator of the old shareware FPS “Doom.” How about someone builds a Deadzone Terrain model of one of the classic levels of Doom? Ep1, Mission 1 (Hangar)? What gamer on earth hasn’t played this level 1,000 times, and wouldn’t recognize it? One space marine figure at the beginning, re-paint a bunch of other marines repainted to be demonically possessed. I don’t know where you’d buy the demon figures, but with the modular, clickable (non-glued) terrain, you could even put… Read more »
now it would be really cool if you could sneak sensors in the terrain so when your mini hits a certain spot music or sound effect plays (cue burbling demon sound), or maybe just a rule when your character reaches a certain point on the board you have to play the music the music or make the sound effect yourself or your character takes a hit? Hows that for interactive/living terrain?
Funny, I see the Gorka-Morkanaut from completely contradicting view: I’ve always liked my army to be neat and organized, with minimal battle damage, rust, and those sort of things. I immediately liked Gorka-Morkanaut because they’re, while still looking ragged, not as rag-tag as the Orks used to be.
Those gorka and morkanauts still remind me of the recycling bins at our local Sainsburys
Another awesome weekender. As an old fart with a deep love of orks I have noticed the style change of them over the years. I really miss the days of the Mad mob and the first plastic orks box set. I have fond memories of converting the entire box into a giant mad mob, with some really silly mini’s. One day I will get around to taking a few pictures to post them on the site.
Great idea with the news letter guys, I’ll sign up right now.
Love those Orks!!!!
Mmm what to build? So many choices.
Battlezones look very awesome! I’m planning on doing mine like the interior of the Nostromo!
I have an idea – but it is a bit mad, even for me…
On the Battlezone competition…What’s a dataslate?
Just a page of rules for an ‘Item’ in this case a piece of Terrain 🙂
Cheers
Sad news, the Leviathans game appears to be dead in the current form as seen in the latest update in Monsters in the Sky. They are looking into changing it into a X-Wing type format.
Anyway, I’m still considering the backstage free week. My problem is I know I want the annual subscription, and I know it will make me spend more money by showing me all the things I fancy.
for meganobz I would love to use the incursion (secrets of the third reich) American Ape suits.
as for the deadzone terrain ive got a box full I got with the kickstarter, just waiting for my extra connector sprues to come through then I am going to go to town on them
Pleased to hear there’ll be some sculptor coverage coming :). I don’t think GW minis have been quite the same since they made the shift towards doing everything in plastic. The design philosophy has shifted a bit and I tend to agree with Justin that they’re aimed at a slightly younger audience, which they can be now they’re plastic and not metal.
If your going to do sculptors then you should try and get Tom Meier to do an interview, though might be hard him being in the states
If we’re doing requests then I’ve got a list as long as my arm lol. Tom Meier is definitely on it. The man who invented sculpting as far as I’m concerned.
Another great weekender guys! Oooooh! All that terrain looks fantastic. Saw it in Deadzone but there’s something about the freedom of putting it in 40k (or similar). Made me miss Necromunda again though, sad face. I agree with the comments about the GW design direction. What about that Taurox, eeeww. Sometimes it feels like they’re becoming separate parts of the larger company. The rules don’t match the fluff, the models don’t match each other, and the codexes aren’t consistent. In that sense it really does feel orky. A bunch of different guys bolting things on to 40k without restraint or… Read more »
Sounds like GW has a communication problem 😛
Max Mini Green alliance and Mantic Battlezone terrain…. GorkaMorka FTW!!
I loves it, i DO!!
also on the newsletters, when i read the first one, in my head i heard, ‘The best newsletters in the world’ @Warzan Says, then i hear @lloyd say ‘Probably’…..
Never liked the stompa – great show though guys. Lego!
Yum, terrain
I need dis!
Aww, it’s miniature terrain, becoming an evil villain is so expensive, I thought I’d caught a break. Me sitting inside some Mantic terrain just isn’t intimidating enough?
Wonder if they’d give me some tips on running a kickstarter….
Meganobs could allways be take 3-10 a unit. I used to play the 6 in a buggy.
They don’t seem to have changed much, which is a bit of a shame, since they really suffer against powerfists.
I love the mantic terrain sets! Hope i win this time…
Must… build… walls!
