Book Series The Dwarves Hits Kickstarter With Adventuring Board Game

The Dwarves: The Saga is a board game currently on Kickstarter based on the critically acclaimed German book series of the same name by Markus Heitz. The game appears to be a great fantasy romp that can be enjoyed by everyone, not just die hard fans of the book series...

Time For An Adventure

If you're already liking the sound of this adventure (as I am) then you can download the rulebook HERE. The game itself has been out in German for a little while but Pegasus Spiele have converted everything into English! Inside the main boxed game you get...

Each player takes on the role of one of the Dwarves in the company of Tungil Goldhand and will be travelling around the lands of Girdlegard in an effort to save it from nefarious plots and dangerous foes. Together you'll be making sure evil is vanquished from the land.

To do this you and your fellow Dwarves take on a number of different quests which take the form of both Main and Side Quest each with their own rewards and pitfalls. Not only do you have to contend with these adventures but also the massing forces of evil from all sides who threaten to turn the world into a ruined wasteland...

It all sounds very exciting indeed and I'm already loving the artwork for the game that has a very Euro feel to it despite having mechanics very similar to many Ameritrash titles.

The Saga Itself

On top of the base game there is the addition of some new components, new quests, new miniatures and even a new board. You can see what the revamped layout and everything looks like together here...
