On the Watchtower with Tabletop Workshop.
July 21, 2014 by stvitusdancern
Tabletop Workshop has announced a new 28mm scale Watchtower for the upcoming Castle terrain sets that is now available for pre-order. This is a hard plastic piece and according to the website "The tower is exceptionally detailed on the inside and outside."
I know I will be looking into getting this for some of my fantasy games and possibly some historical games. This is one to definitely keep an eye on.
Will you be adding a watchtower to your fortifications?
Maybe a bit expensive at 30GBP if you compare it with ore painted pre-assembled GF9 stuff or even some (more detailed) GW stuff
Pre-painted*
Very cool! I’d definitely add a bit of ‘bling’ to mine in the form of flags, skulls and perhaps a few dangling corpses. I’d even go as far as to make a few architectural changes, with a mage’s turret or three! (I’m a fantasy kinda guy)
Really impressed with the modularity but it is a bit plain from what I’m used to seeing, not a bad thing though in this case I think.
My intent was not to say that I prefer Fantasy scenery or even GW scenery with their plethora of skulls. Even for an historical gamer such price is a bit high. Not unafordable but among the highest on the market considering the product.
Looks great. It really has that medieval touch.
Does it come with a free Hendrix?
Good old Jim, wish he was still around.
