Thomarillion’s Crooked Housing & An Abbey Take Shape
March 30, 2015 by brennon
Thomarillion have shown off some of their terrain pieces that are produced alongside Ziterdes. Not only have they got a crooked Broom Binder House but also an Abbey that is an equally awesome looking bit of terrain...
You can see the house above unpainted and painted to fit into what could either be a Historical or Fantasy setting. I think these would be quite nice when set aside the links of the 4Ground Fabled Realms set as an alternative collection of terrain.
I would love to add some interesting bits of natural life onto the building though however. It would be nice to add some undergrowth around the base of the house and then maybe even some vines creeping up the side. I think it would help settle it more within the world.
Religious Inspiration
On a larger scale we have another bigger kit from both Thomarillion and Ziterdes with their Abbey. Like the house above it comes in unpainted but should easily be painted up into the finished article below.
The great thing about this building is that you have so many different materials to play around with. Old school plaster and wooden beams, bricks, tiles and even some timber on the top that makes up the tower. I think this would be a great centerpiece.
Each of these pieces is made out a hard foam that makes it light weight and easy to transport which is nice. Admittedly you miss out on being able to get 'inside' these buildings but as a range of additional spot terrain for a big board this would be great.
Do you like the designs?

Very nice. Would look good alongside Tabletop World’s buildings.
This is really good stuff and they have some great buildings in their catalogue. A few great center-pieces for me to build my Infamy board around!
usually a mixed bag with Ziterdes, but that looks really good
