Things From The Basement Venture To Japanese Temples
October 29, 2019 by brennon
Things From The Basement have some fun stuff in the mix for those who are picking up Test Of Honour and delving deeper into Feudal Japanese gaming. One of the new terrain pieces is this Feudal Japan Long Bridge...
This is a very nice looking bridge that would be a perfect place for a clash between heroes worthy of the silver screen. I love the image of two noble samurai drawing their swords and fighting atop a bridge like this as the blossom falls around them. I think this is one of the things that draws people towards this world on the tabletop.
The bridge breaks down into three different sections which makes it a little easier to transport and store plus it would also be a really fun addition to their existing Temple Set which is also available over on their webstore.
The bright red terrain that we see in Feudal Japanese games is a really nice point of difference compared to the dark browns, greens and tans that we typically see on the tabletop. I could see that long bridge being the way that attacks have to try and make their way towards this temple giving the defenders a chance to cut them down with arrows.
Have you picked up any of their terrain for use in Test Of Honour perhaps a different game set around the same time period?

fantastic scenery.
Very nice stuff. Would love to have those pieces on one of my samurai tables.
Not a period I collect but those are gorgeous!
