The Lazy Forger Releases Stunning New 6mm Sci-Fi Terrain!
April 14, 2023 by brennon
If you're looking for some excellent 6mm Sci-Fi terrain then you can't go too far wrong when it comes to The Lazy Forger and their offerings. These terrain pieces would be brilliant for the likes of BattleTech or their own game, Full Spectrum Dominance.
Research Compound // The Lazy Forger
The Research Compound comes as STL files which are all pre-supported. They have been tested for 6mm scale but could also be upscaled to 10mm and 15mm depending on the different games that you're looking to play. As with all of The Lazy Forger terrain, it is absolutely packed with detail that makes you want to get down to the "model's eye view" and have a peek into all of the nooks and crannies.
Perimeter Gate // The Lazy Forger
You can buy all of the different components of the Research Compound separately if you like but the bundle gives you money off and includes a Perimeter Gate, Towers, Walls, Street Barricades and Research Buildings. You get the sense that these folks were researching something pretty terrible that warranted being attacked by massive mechs! Either that or they were unearthing all manner of interesting minerals that could be used to make deadly warheads and more.
Walls & Research Buildings // The Lazy Forger
I love the idea of running a siege of a place like this in Full Spectrum Dominance or BattleTech. You could have those big main guns laying down covering fire as mechs sally forth to try and break the siege. Maybe your opponent then sends in a crack team of specialists to take their energy cells offline so the guns power down and open up an opportunity for an attack.
Make sure to head on over to MyMiniFactory and have a look at the Research Compound Bundle as well as the individual elements that you can print off as you see fit. If you do get the bundle, it's at 30% off with the use of the COMPOUND30 code.

I think you'll agree that The Lazy Forger does some pretty darn awesome stuff. If you want to know more about their range, it's worth diving into the rest of the collection over on MyMiniFactory.

Great way to get a table up and running ?
Nice looking. Terrible production method XD
Ooh that’s good for battletech or botwar? Pacific rim battles? gamers
For those without a 3D printer then Brigade do a good range of cheap 6mm terrain/buildings/stuff. https://www.brigademodels.co.uk/6mmSF/index.html
This would be lovely for a Battletech table. I need to fire up my Battletech project again, too many temptations lately.
