Deep-Cut Send Us To Space On Their Messier 78 Mat
May 10, 2018 by dracs
Deep-Cut Studios have released a limited edition mat that will take our games into the beautiful depths of space; the Messier 78 Mat.
The mat shows the Messier 78 Nebula as seen through the Hubble Space Telescope.
"Messier 78 is a good example of reflection nebula type object and is located in Orion constellation. Instead of emitting light, these nebulae reflect the light from the nearby low energy stars. The bluish haze of M78 is one of brightest reflection nebulae out there and can be seen with simple binoculars around December.
And it's a cradle for more than 40 very young stars, that are too cold to start their own hydrogen fusion just yet, which makes it a great place to study early star formations. Messier 78 was discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1780."

The fact that this mat shows a real, observable part of our universe makes it far cooler, in my opinion. It's like out there, in the void of space, our X-Wings and our Dropfleets really are engaged in epic combat.
The 3ft x 3ft mat is limited to only fifty copies, so prospective astronauts will have to be quick.
Do you like the idea of playing across this part of space?

Very nice any chance of any other known space objects like Wolf 359 for instance?
