Games Workshop is bringing the "Season" format to Warhammer Age Of Sigmar this week with pre-orders going live for a new Season Of War Book. Prepare to do battle in the depths of the Realm Of Beasts.

This new book contains rules for playing out battles in Thondia through Open, Narrative and Matched Play. The focus is on adding specific rules, terrain and more that theme your battlefields and aid you in following along with the unfolding narrative in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar.
Linked to this is the new Realmscape: Thondian Strongpoint set. This gives you a selection of terrain that represent one of the bastions of Order that the followers of Sigmar are trying to set up on the frontier.

As well as the initial elements of "civilisation" being represented here in those smaller buildings, you also have towering statues and wells of magical energy that can be drawn on. This land is not to be tamed though and the scars of that wildness remain. Who wouldn't want a giant monster skeleton on their tabletop?
This set also features the new Incarnate for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar, the Krondspine Incarnate.

All of the fighting in Ghur has awoken wild powers that you can try and tame, binding them to different characters in your army. The idea is that the Krondspine Incarnate can be bonded to one of your heroes in your army. This allows you to use the fearsome might of the Incarnate in battle. However, if that hero should ever perish then the Krondspine Incarnate will go wild and start their rampage. They won't differentiate between friend and foe!
In addition to the larger set, there is also the Realmscape: Thondian Expanse set. This gives you a set of battleboards that are double-sided.

The two boards allow you to play out 1000 point games of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar so it's a pretty good option for those getting started. Just add a few terrain elements and you're ready to go. You can even add more Realmscape boards to open up the possibilities for bigger games.
All of these releases are coming up for pre-order this weekend!

Fab looking terrain for players.
Not at all bad looking terrain.
I’d like the skeletal beast for other games, but don’t want the other stuff… unless it’s really cheap… and it’s GW… so it won’t be.
It is nice but I do wish thwy would make more building for other faction rather than stormcast. It is set in the lands of the beast surely even the orks or choas beastmen need a place to sleep in ??
I think the current idea is that it’s based around the Cities Of Sigmar trying to establish footholds in the different realms.
But, you are right – I would love to see Destruction buildings in the future to show the places they are trying to take over.
