Sail About In Sarissa Precisions’ New 28mm Chinese Junk
January 7, 2021 by brennon
Sarissa Precision has been venturing back into the realm of crafting ships as a Chinese Junk was added to their 28mm collection recently. Useful in both Historical and Fantasy games, this could be a fun project!

This is a simple kit but it's just what you need for a skirmish on the seas around China. The set comes with an MDF and greyboard hull but you've also got the paper sails also included as part of the kit which you can hoist up.

The words "simple but effective" come to mind when I see this ship and it has plenty of space for you to place your miniatures which is key. You could line up a selection of archers on both the port and starboard and have them raining down shots on another boat nearby.
If you're looking to venture into this part of the world for your wargaming then I see no problem in picking up a few of these. Not all battles were fought on land and I know plenty of Dynasty Warriors missions which are set on the high seas! Additionally, these ships might be fitting beyond the Medieval period and you could even use them in something modern!
Are you going to be taking a peek at these?

A Great looking ship.
