Hold Out Within Sarissa Precision’s Dark Age Fort
March 11, 2019 by brennon
Sarissa Precision has bundled together a collection of terrain elements for those looking to build up their defences during the Dark Age. Check out the Dark Age Fort...
This Dark Age Fort brings together a few different terrain elements to produce a sturdy and well-defended location for the Normans to hole up in as Anglo-Saxon raiders still try and harass them across the countryside.
- 1 x Norman Manor House
- 1 x Norman Keep
- 1 x Wooden Palisade Watch Tower (Straight)
- 1 x Wooden Palisade Wall (Straight)
- 1 x Wooden Palisade 1/2 Wall (Straight Set)
- 1 x Wooden Palisade Gate
- 3 x Wooden Palisade Corner
As an evolution to the standard Anglo-Saxon Hall, the Normans re-purposed and tweaked their homes to protect against ambitious foes.
Whilst this isn't the biggest of structures to hunker down in it would offer you with a few walls to hide behind and a good position to look out on the land around you. If you're looking to do some smaller siege-style games I could see this being a lot of fun.
If you picked up maybe two of these bundles you'd also have some options for expanding on the Fort. You could throw one of the tower-like buildings into the other corner and add a rear gate to the property as well.
Will you be adding this to your Dark Age collection?

Ooh a great looking fort/lordships house.
Would work well as a fortified couchhouse?
Gorgeous. ?
That’s a bloody lovely set. I’d be inclined to pick up a few extra walls to embiggen it.
I’ve started the caravan from their Retro Americana range this morning and it’s genuinely a thing of beauty.
Hmm, just visited their website and they have some very nice Dark Ages stuff (my fave was the Celtic Roundhouse)
This stuff will be useful for my poor, barely surviving hu-mans who are constantly besieged by all my Chaos, Dark Elf and Lovecraftian hordes.
