One of the more recently kits from Sarissa Precision is this awesome Manassas Stone House. If you don't know about this particular building, it rose to fame during the American Civil War when it was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers.

Manassas Stone House - Sarissa Precision

There was not one but two different battles fought around Manassas and the house saw action in both. During the first battle, it was even consistently peppered with incoming fire despite the fact that they flew flags out of the windows to indicate that it was a place of respite.

It was busy throughout the battle and unfortunately, there was just one surgeon on hand who was young and inexperienced. More bodies lay on the ground, some wounded, some dead, compared to those who were undergoing treatment.

The state of the house did not change during the second battle and after the Civil War, it was taken up by new owners. It now sits as a monument to this period of American history and still sees visitors arriving at its doors during tours of the battlefields.

What do you think of the building as a terrain piece?
