Sarissa Precision Takes Us To Marshport With New Terrain
June 29, 2021 by brennon
Sarissa Precision has some new sets of terrain for you to check out in 28mm scale which might be fun for some Lovecraftian adventures. Perhaps you'd like a trip down to Marshport where the houses have seen better days?
Marshport // Sarissa Precision
The Marshport collection is themed after the kind of buildings you'd see littering the towns and cities of New England. There are various options for this range which present you with nice livable homes but also some that have fallen into disuse.
As is the case with many of the homes in Marshport, one would imagine that they are occupied by a population who has to stay "for some reason they can't remember". Being a fishing town they also seem to have a strange affinity with the sea...

If you're looking to build an eerie tabletop that suits that Lovecraftian style of adventure then I think this would be the range to look at. I love the dilapidated look of many of their derelict buildings and even those that have remained whole still have a haunted quality to them.
There is something spooky about this style of New England house. It might be that they've always been tied to horror movies of course but I also feel like they look imposing and almost alive, glaring down at you from towering windows and tall, vacant windows.

Another of the core spook factors is creating a landscape that feels as if it's stuck in time. A few people might have escaped when the money left but some have stuck around, wandering about amongst the carcasses of old ships and faded businesses.
I think you could have a lot of fun with this collection. Perhaps you've been enjoying the idea of a bit of Pulp horror from the likes of 7TV? This might make a good backdrop for a strange mystery of disappearing investigators and protective locals.
Have you checked out the Marshport range before?
