Shop Wild West Exodus @ Wayland Games

This new set comes with a whole host of interesting buildings for making a themed tabletop in Wild West Exodus. Retribution was recently the place where a big showdown happened and so it makes it a perfect place to set your games.

All of the terrain is 35mm in scale and comes pre-coloured as you see it here. It's a great way to bosh together a bunch of terrain to get started playing quicker, especially if you don't enjoy the prospect of painting terrain.

The first kit (above) is for the Station. I do love a good railyard and this is up there with some of the best! I like the added Steampunky details to the building as a whole and the option to actually have some rails placed outside it. Positioned well, this could be a good deployment zone for an interloper to Retribution.

You've also got the impressive Theatre which dominates the skyline. Retribution might be a new town in many regards but it's starting to get a bit of character.

This looks like a superb place for a skirmish and I really hope someone big throws that organ at someone! There is plenty of space to play in and around this particular piece as it comes with a full interior (as do all of the buildings). It's always nice to have more height on a tabletop as well, adding a sense of scale.

The third of the big buildings is the Barracks. This shows off the Union's influence on the town and where they are setting up shop. They are seeking to gain a foothold on the frontier and this is a surefire statement of that.

I reckon this provides you with a good excuse for a scenario. Maybe a rival faction seeks to blow up this barracks during the dead of night? The Union player will have to rouse their soldiers from their bunks before everything is beyond saving!

Normal folk are also making homes in Retribution though as well as the soldiers. Here we have one of the Dwellings that you could set up to show off where the populace is trying to make a life for themselves.

It's a simple structure but it does the job. I'm sure that this is as much a house built for workmen and workmen's families as it is for any visitors to the region. You can also get a really fun tower which again, adds a sense of scale, but I'll let you check that out over on the Warcradle blog.

This terrain set is designed for Wild West Exodus but it could also be used for Malifaux as it matches the aesthetic well. It might even work for other Pulpy and Weird games set on the frontier.
