Travel To Red Oak With New Warcradle Scenics Terrain

Fancy getting stuck into a Wild West Exodus shootout in a brand new town? Well, the Red Oak Town Set is coming up from Warcradle Scenics for the month of March.
Red Oak Town Set // Warcradle Scenics
The Red Oak Town Set represents a town in the Arizona territory of Wild West Exodus. Its location makes it a very easy-to-reach township for all manner of different factions who are looking to control territory. Whilst this makes it a place filled with colourful characters, it also means that it is often the setting for some brutal shootouts.
Jail // Warcradle Scenics
The set comes with a range of terrain that matches the setting well and offers up interesting narrative options for your games. Maybe you want to set up a proper jailbreak from this building above? I really like all of the detail etched into the buildings and the almost rickety set-up that you get from these kits.
Another of my favourite buildings from the set is the Crematorium.

The additional signage here really makes the set. I love the "ask inside for used boots" sign hanging over the door for example. You get the sense that in the world of Wild West Exodus, this crematorium is pretty busy. I would imagine that's why the building looks so fancy!
I also really liked the Cat House...
Cat House // Warcradle Scenics
A nice over-the-top and ostentatious building that could be found in the centre of town. A great place for a showdown between a variety of characters I would suggest. I like the idea that at one point, the Cat House was a bordello but it is now just a place filled with all manner of weird Wild West Exodus-styled felines. Maybe the madame had had just about enough of her dirty clientele and decided to change up her business plans?
There are more terrain pieces in this set that are worth taking a peek at over on the recent blog page. You get the Crematorium, Cat House, Saloon, Bridge, Jail, Metalsmith, Prospector's Shack and then a bunch of Scatter Terrain as well. A great way to make a well-themed tabletop for Wild West Exodus.
Whilst this would be great for Wild West Exodus, I think it would also be good for Mythos and even games like Malifaux too. All you'd need to do is tinker with some of the signage perhaps and add some elements that fit more appropriately with the setting you've chosen.
Are you tempted by the Red Oak set?

Great looking terrain! With a few tweeks here and there, great for sci-fi skirmishes on desert world like Stargrave too!
