Add PWork Wargames’ Woods & Walls To Your Fantasy Tabletops

PWork Wargames has a couple of new MDF kits for you to snap up for use in your wargames. If, like me, you find forests damn messy to make then how about two new sets of MDF Woods which could simply be painted up and slotted together, ready for the tabletop.
Woods // PWork Wargames
The first of the sets is this Woods (above). The trees should work well for wargames from 28mm through to 35mm and because of the template nature of the piece, it should mean that there are no issues with working out who is in and out of the terrain when it comes to shooting and the likes. The trees can also be slotted in and out of the base allowing you to put larger miniatures and regiments into the mix as well.
The same goes for the Dead Woods (below) which switch things up and either provide you with a winter scene or something a little more spooky.

I think that you could get away with either painting these woods with a spray can, hitting the right elements with greens and browns as you see fit. It should mean that the terrain is very quickly ready to go and could be plonked onto any tabletop.
With a little bit more care and attention you could go in with washes and weathering effects to help make the woods pop a little bit more. I think some ground texture on the base would work particularly well alongside some tufts here and there.
Hunker Down Behind Stone Walls
As well as the Woods, you can also get your hands on a set of Stone Walls which are handy for all manner of different games.
Stone Walls // PWork Wargames
This set comes with six long walls and four short walls as well as four columns. You could use these to build a small walled section of the board, perhaps somewhere well-defended, or simply to work as a bit of scatter terrain. The missing bricks in the wall give the look of somewhere a bit rundown. They seem like a perfect match to those Dead Woods above.
All of these kits come unpainted and with a lick of paint, should be nice and easy to get to the tabletop!
Do you like these new sets from PWork Wargames?

Definitely a case of buying to see how they actually look, but I think the trees would work well, especially with the right washes, drybrushes and tufts.
