Adventure Through PWork Wargames’ Combat Book
December 16, 2019 by brennon
PWork Wargames has added a new product into the mix. As well as being able to lay out all sorts of mats they've also been working on their Rewritable Combat Book full of maps for use in roleplaying games.
This book comes with sixty-two pages of maps which can be used as either single-page or double-page spreads. All of the different pages have also been made rewritable so that you can doodle on them and write important details on the maps for your party to check out.
There are lots of different environments for you to dive into. They have towns, dungeons, sewers, wilderness locations and more. This might be very useful for those who want to do some quick and dirty dungeon delving and set up maps on the fly rather than having to dig out all of the tiles and scenery from your collection.
All of the different squares are one-inch squares so they should pretty much fit whatever miniatures you have in your collection. I like the idea of using these maps for skirmish games as well, setting up small environments for you to battle in, perhaps flanked by a mat and some gaming terrain.
What do you make of this new option from PWork?

Nice… look cool
Waiting for mine to show up in the mail. They’re also designed to put 2 books next to each other (2 page x 2 page)and they also make a smaller book with like entrances and such.
The wire spiral binding is a major issue for me. Otherwise I think its great
Lol! Isn’t this basically the giant book of battle mats by Loke? Some of those pages look very familiar!
If you don’t like the spine there was a Kickstarter a while back for a map book without it, although by all accounts the artwork is a bit hit and miss. I can’t recall who made that one but it might be in the shops by now.
Please can we see some more original ideas? A pop up book would be really cool!
fwiw, Stonehaven did pop-up terrain a few years ago (: and they have a color PnP popup KS:
