Printable Scenery Head To Brave New 3D Printed Worlds
April 22, 2020 by brennon
Printable Scenery has headed back to Kickstarter this week with a new Sci-Fi project called Brave New Worlds. Three entirely different landscapes are there for you to dive into as part of the campaign, building on their range which we've very much enjoyed in the past. First, we head to New Eden.
The New Eden terrain collection allows you to build a beautiful alien world which was once ruled by a race which has now vanished into distant memory. You could use this as the basis for your Sci-Fi adventures as you go looking for a new habitable world.
However, ancient tombs, temples and ruins always hide dark secrets and you could have some terrifying creatures working their way out of the crumbling stonework when your adventurers least expect it!
A World Of Rust
If New Eden isn't quite your flavour then how about the Wasteworld?
This would be the perfect collection for someone who is looking to build for their Mad Maxian games of rage and destruction across a blasted desert world. The theme is very much in keeping with a long-dead Earth so you could flood your tabletop with this terrain alongside mutants, zombies, gangers and clanking machines.
Build A Cosy Colony
We've seen alien worlds and a blasted future but the third set seems a little more hopeful. Here we have Sanctuary 17 which could be placed on a distant moon or on a polar icecap. Either way, it gives you a way to survive many a harsh environment.
I think this set of terrain is probably my favourite as it could be used for all manner of different games and it would be good on far-flung planets and for right here on Earth as mentioned above. I like the idea of taking it and making it look a little grubby; as if the company that left it here, to begin with, have forgotten the colonists who live there. Maybe it has become a little more lawless since those first few years of expansion?
Stretch Goals
The Printable Scenery folks have already managed to unlocked a bunch of new options for the various terrain sets as you can see here...
Each of them is tied to a particular style of terrain so make sure that you keep an eye on what they have in the pipeline for your set of choice. There are some fun bits and pieces in here like the Downed UFO and the Ancient Missile Silo which just raises further questions.
Make sure to tell us which of these options most appeals to you!

I have backed the Wasteworld bundle, it is pretty much the last environment I don’t have a good set of terrain for and been waiting for these guys to do something for a while. I cannot recommend printable scenery enough for those of us with 3D printers.
I may have to check out these guys.
I’m still shopping around for 5BCE to 3BCE terrain for ‘Clash of Spears’.
Frack I wish I has a 3D printer.

not sure about the quality but it’s certainly cheap enough. I’m getting it so i can try my hand at 3D printing to see if i want to invest in a more decent machine…like this one
