New Dystopian Wars Pre-Orders For January 2024!
December 27, 2023 by brennon
Warcradle Studios previewed the new pre-orders for January 2024! There are some great Dystopian Age kits combing to tabletops including some new fleets and that rather nice terrain that we looked at last month.
Ganges Battlefleet Set // Dystopian Wars
We lead with some new options for the different factions in Dystopian Wars. The Ganges Battlefleet Set leads the way with these new ships that have been designed to watch over the different trading routes running through India. At the head of this particular fleet is the Ganges Battlecruiser itself and all of these ships end up facing a lot of action from pirates and more.
Inside the set, you'll get the Ganges Battlecruiser which can also be built as the Palashi. You then get two Nagaraji Tactical Cruisers (Indus, Godavari, Devaki, Chanura). You can then use these alongside the four Escorts to watch over the different Platforms that have been set up on the coast of India.
The second of the big sets is the Beyond Fortune And Glory set which has been designed to give you the next step after playing with the contents of the Fortune And Glory Starter Set.
Beyond Fortune And Glory // Dystopian Wars
This set comes with bonus reinforcements from the powerhouses of the Union and Sultanate. To that end, you've got lots of fun new options in this set...
- 2x John Henry Vitruvian Colossus
- 2x Akron Sentry Rotor
- 2x Cheyenne Hunter Submarine
- 2x Farpoint Sentry Platform
- 1x Large Platform
- 1x Small Platform
- 2x Iskandar Cruiser (may also be built as Sadrazam, Pasha or Izmir Class)
- 2x Temir Frigate
You will also get the Rulebook, Action Dice, Critical Dice and a Token Sheet so that you can perhaps use this alongside your friends so that everyone has access to a book at the tabletop. With some fun Colossus in the set and more of the Platforms, you've got the makings of a great objective-based scenario or two.
Sticking with the idea of Colossus, how about some more awesome avenging metal angels?
Order Colossus Squadrons // Dystopian Wars
The look of these miniatures is very impressive and I like the clockwork golem design. It reminds me of some of the enemies that you might end up facing in games like Dishonored. There are two options available in the set, the Chaska Vitruvian Colossus and the Qualor Class. Both look suitably epic and now I just need to see a full-on Colossus fight on the tabletop between the towering constructs the various factions have created.
Last but not least, we have a colossus of a different form entirely. You might find the Maximilian Aerial Linebreaker useful to your endeavours on the tabletop.
Maximilian Aerial Linebreaker // Dystopian Wars
This Imperium flying fortress is a powerful part of your arsenal. Equipped with shield generators and impressive bombards, you aren't going to be able to pop this balloon. If this manages to get into position, it could rain down hell on ships and defensive positions alike.
Maximilian Aerial Linebreaker // Dystopian Wars
As you can see, the Linebreaker comes with both plastic and resin components for the upgrade. A deadly addition to the Imperium that will be useful when pushing through heavily defended enemy territory.
New Terrain! Dystopian Industrial Set
The Dystopian Industrial Set that we looked at fairly recently is also up for pre-order.
Dystopian Industrial Set // Warcradle Scenics
This set of terrain could be used for games between 6mm and 15mm and is well suited to the game of Armoured Clash which is going to be coming later in 2024 from Warcradle Studios. Whilst you're waiting, this could also be a good set of terrain for games like Legions Imperialis, Dropzone Commander and maybe even a bit of BattleTech.
Dystopian Industrial Set - Scale // Warcradle Scenics
This set is very, very modular meaning that you can make towering skyscrapers and industrial factories or smaller apartment blocks that the workers and their families call home. There are plenty of bonus bits and pieces to showcase the industrial nature of the terrain like cranes and such. You can also plug in a variety of turrets as well if you want to make this complex more militaristic.
Will you be scooping up some of these sets this month?
