Battle In Modular Petrolyard Terrain With StudioLevel
March 11, 2020 by brennon
StudioLevel are on Kickstarter right now looking to fund their collection of modular terrain for your post-apocalyptic wastelands. See what you make of the PETROLYARD Kickstarter!
The entire collection has been designed to give you a heavily turned over and ransacked gas station as well as adjoining warehouse, garage and offices. You also get a bunch of barricades and scatter terrain for you to hide behind, all designed to work with 28/32mm models.
The terrain, made using resin and polyurethane materials, gives you some nice big chunky terrain which would work well for those playing any type of game which features a wasteland. It's also big and bombastic with lots of detail worked into pretty much every facet of the terrain. All of the terrain has been designed so that it can be magnetised as well with added roofs, opening doors and more.
This means that you can design all sorts of different complexes and you can then fight outside of it before heading inside for a close-quarters tussle. I think this would be a particularly nice set of terrain to match alongside the Ramshackle Games range as it has that heroic quality to its proportions.
Pledges
This range of terrain is Kickstarter Exclusive which means once the campaign ends, it's gone. So, if you want to pick this up you'll want to get involved sooner rather than later. I've shown off below both the lower end of the scale...
...and the higher end of the scale, allowing you to look at the mass of terrain that is being offered and what works for you. There are a few different pledge levels though so something should suit your needs if you want to dive in.
This is all looking very fun indeed and I love some of the additional pieces that have also been worked into the collection. StudioLevel have done something nice and characterful here and I reckon that if you tweaked things and moved terrain about you'd end up with a very modular tabletop.
What do you make of this terrain and will you be backing?
