Over on the Fallout Development Blog, the folks at Modiphius have been talking about some future releases for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare starting with the Mirelurk Queen.

Mirelurk Queen - Fallout Wasteland Warfare

She is a rather monstrous creature that will become part of the second wave of pre-orders for the game. As you might imagine, this is the kind of creature that you might set aside your differences to fight. I can imagine her being a great monster to paint too, especially if you could work in some patterns to her armoured hide.

Suit Up

Next up we have the second exciting bit from the update - the addition of some awesome Power Armour which can be tweaked with different head swaps to suit your character.

Power Armour - Fallout Wasteland Warfare

I think it's neat that they've included options for male and female characters as well as a regular helmeted head for when you want to just get stuck in with the action. Considering the narrative element to this game I don't think it would be going too far to consider magnetising the heads for this model so you can actually switch them out when the fighting gets tough.

Objective Hunting

On the less exciting but still fun side of things we also know that we're going to be getting some new Objective Markers for the game which are themed appropriately.

Objective Marker #1 - Fallout Wasteland Warfare

They are all made to represent some of the comically dark and often poignant moments that you get in Fallout games and add to the narrative. For example, this fellow above clearly had a very good party before he died.

Objective Marker #2 - Fallout Wasteland Warfare

I always liked themed objective markers for games rather than cardboard or plastic tokens as I think it adds to the world and allows you to immerse in the narrative that little more.

What do you think of these new previews?
