Micro Art Set Up Bigger Miniatures On Shrine & Ancient Bases
November 10, 2017 by dracs
Micro Art Studio has released two new round bases, these ones at 120mm in size to suit your larger models. The first is the latest addition to their Shrine Bases.
This base sets your model on the broken remains of a once beautiful design, creating an evocative and foreboding image. This matches well with a lot of the dark settings we see in miniature games. The second is an addition to the Ancient Bases.
This piece is similarly representative of a fallen society, but the presence of the leaves suggest a forest setting, making me think of some of the ruins you explore in games like Dragon Age. It would be pretty cool to see a monster, or even a Warjack, stomping around on this.
Do you like the look of these base designs? What models do you think they would suit?

Oh beautiful!
I’ve been basing my Circle of Orboros force on the Ancient bases. The big one will go nice with the rest
I’ve been a regular buyer of the smaller bases for some time now, and they’re fabulous. Can’t say I have anything big enough to need one of those, though!
fabulous looking bases.
