Kromlech Return To Frostgrave With New Official Terrain

July 31, 2024 by brennon

Kromlech will be returning to the frozen city of Felstad soon with an update to their amazing range of Official Frostgrave Terrain. There are many new 28mm magical locations to explore as part of this neat Fantasy wargame by Joseph A. McCullough.

Great Tower Of Knowledge - Kromlech

One of the most impressive sets of terrain from Kromlech is the amazing Great Tower Of Knowledge This comes with multiple floors (which can be picked up individually) and looks like the perfect place for your campaign to come to a climactic finish. I really love the wild, quirky style of construction and all of the stone edifices that lead up to it. There are also plenty of places to blast someone off to their doom.

The crumbling Gothic-style ruins are also worthy of investigation and you've got some awesome collections to choose from including the Ancient Temple Ruins.

Again, this looks like an awesome set with plenty of height to it. Frostgrave lets the imagination run wild and it really shines when you're not just running across terra firma. Adding in all of these nooks and crannies, you've got an excellent set-up for a fun investigation in search of temple relics.

A great set of Gothic Arches will also be available for you to scoop up. These look like they could have been grand manors that were once lorded over by mages and well-regarded officials.

These ruins could now form the core of the base that you've set up in the ruins. I think all of the platforms and ladders are a nice touch and the big gate seems like the perfect focal point for a Mortal Enemies encounter as you bust into the enemy wizard's base.

Talking of bases of operation, the same could be said for this towering Ossuary which might be the place that a necromancer has set up residence.

You need a lot of bones to be a necromancer and so an Ossuary seems like a good place for you to start out. It will be neat to get a look inside the building when Kromlech makes it available for you to scoop up.

Matching up with the Ossuary, you also have access to this set of Sarcophagi.

Use these as a great place to go tomb robbing. I'm sure that there are plenty of interesting treasures to be uncovered from within these tombs and I would guess that the residents won't be that annoyed that you disturbed their rest. Right?

When mysteries need to be uncovered, you can also get your hands on the Ancient Archives which is a brilliant library ready to be plundered for knowledge.

Again, I really like the height that the Ancient Archives offers and there are loads of places for you to shove treasures. You certainly need to add in rules for flying books that will zoom out and try and knock over your warband as they try and find a specific tome.

Last but not least, we have the City Staircases which will be handy for those wanting to build themselves some immense tabletops. I can just see some stunning set-ups that allow you to explore Felstad from the sewers all the way to the highest towers.

All of this terrain is going to be available to snap up soon. If you're someone who has been playing Frostgrave for a while and finds yourself in need of new terrain, I can't think of a better set of offerings. Kromlech have outdone themselves.

Will you be checking out this terrain when it releases?
