Back of the net. I’ve been trying to make something like this for a while now. Perfect for Infinity
Perfect full-stop. Would perhaps make it a little lower in height for 28 mm. Other than that really good.
Nicely done, wonder if that could be a use for left over sprue as well if you want a more ram shackle post apoc running repair sort of look?
Also have you tried using nylon and fibre glass mesh used in fly screens?

I’ve been thinking about fencing lately too, although I want to make mine the concrete block ones.
YES! YES! YES! So glad that Hobby Lab’s back 🙂
I will use this for my The Walking Dead project later this year. Ideal for prison fencing. Barbed wire on top 😎
I’m a dipper.
I’ve seen fencing made with this stuff as well for more ridged.

@grimwolfuk I like that, could be great for my post apoc car builds cheers mate 🙂
……….oop’s! forgot to say, great video lad’s …..
In sweden we have that type of fence around building sites. pretty identical our fences have larger holes in the nets.
Ah, the long overdue return of hobby lab. I was on the verge of cancelling my backstage subscription due to the lack of hobby lab articles. Good save.
Great video, guys!
If you want something a little more heavy-duty, use corrugated card instead of the mesh (would look particularly good in shanty towns or ramshackle zombie apocalypse fortifications)
Fantastic video!
Great to see hobby lab back again!
awesome to see hobby lab back!!!
This and the weekender are my fave!
I work on building sites all the while with this fencing so I think some mini faded signs on the fence (pick to what you play) would look cool,
even a llyodaslyavia flag????
Great video guys.
This stuff may be better for the fencing guys?

HOBBY LAB! *80s style FISTPUMP*
Thought id point out, the video works on my laptop, but it stops playing when I try to vjew it on my phone.
Great to see hobbylab back will look to create some of these as well as some of the other excellent ideas
26:38 . . . I like the little concrete avatar that pops up in the lower left. 😀

I have just found the BADDEST-ASS equivalent to this automesh, especially if you are playing at smaller scales like I do (15mm). The “Splatter Screen” utensils they sell for stove tops? You can get a set of three for like 10 bucks and they come in 8″, 10″, and 12″ diameter. I have just tried to cut one with a pair of ordinary kitchen scissors and it works amazing. Also “folds” and is pliable like the larger-gauge auto mesh shown in this video. Great video guys. Got me out to the store and buying mesh right away. I’ll download the… Read more »
15mm- smaller scale?…BUT there huge!
Dipper for life, you sprinklers are just deviants!
Nice to see hobby lab back again. Was one of the reasons I joined backstage .
Great video guys, it needs some signs and barbed wire. Maybe some radioactive warning or a trespassers will be shot.
Dip and shake all the way! 🙂
Great tutorial and looks easy to production line. Unlike another notorious hobby tutorial.
On a technical note: Could whoever edits these video’s ( @dignity ? ) try to match the volume of the intro/interstitial and the speech please? I constantly have to go for my mute button when the interstitial plays because the sound is way too loud.
The audio has been adjusted so you no longer have to mute 🙂
Has anyone tried building fences yet? My first batch is on the porch right now drying under its first coat of primer. The only issue I’m having is paint “sticking” or “filling in” the chain links. Again, I’m using a much smaller gauge for 15mm or 20mm fences. Just wondering if anyone else had run across this yet.
go for lighter coats should help with that. @oriskany
