Gingermane Studio Show Off Their Multi-Level Sci-Fi Terrain
July 24, 2018 by brennon
Gingermane Studio has been tinkering with a range of accessories and additional terrain pieces which can be used on their very modular Sci-Fi buildings. They have a great set of Balcony options which can be stacked in various ways to give you plenty of height in your skirmish games and elevate the battlefield.
It starts off as you'll see here featuring a balcony section which looks like it could be a good landing platform for an aerial insertion. You can then add to it with a few bits and bobs including their ladders and barriers to create some impressive multi-level structures.
As you can see the different layers and levels of terrain can then break down into different segments which could be fought over and provide you with some interesting ways to develop encounters.
I like the idea of having a few of these set up across the table; tied together with walkways and such. It would provide you with a nice level of danger and complexity to the actions your models too.
Here you can see one of the configurations for the Bridge which uses some of their ladder options to give you access to the higher points on the terrain piece. It's pretty much a good excuse to do that highway firefight we've talked about on the show before.
It isn't all gleaming metal and plastic however and there are some spots of greenery amongst the synthetic material with some nice Planters.
I think once you've dotted a few of these around and added some appropriately beautiful flora to the tabletop you're going to have a blisteringly nice tabletop to play games like Infinity on. The aesthetic very much reminds me of games like Mirror's Edge!
What do you think?

Great for infinity
Very nice would look great for the upper levels on games of necromunger.
Obviously has Infinity written all over it.
The flower boxes are my favourite, oddly enough.
There seems to be a new terrain company out every month.
I agree with Mage, those plant boxes look fabulous.
