Gather Up New Sci-Fi Terrain From Micro Art Studio
December 8, 2016 by brennon
Micro Art Studio has put together a collection of new terrain pieces for you to use in your games set in the far future. First off we're looking towards the clean worlds of Infinity...
This first set contains a selection of Wrecked Cars for use in your games. Maybe they have been smashed apart by rampaging TAGs or the basic street-to-street combat has exploded into full out war.
You can also head towards the jam-packed industrial district of the city with some more scatter terrain with these Infinity Cargo Crates.
These are nice and simple and could be used away from the world of Infinity too which is nice. Ideally you'd use them as barricades and of course to break up lines of sight on the battlefield.
Alien Worlds
Moving beyond the worlds of Infinity we look to the TauCeti and a collection of Cargo Crates.
As you might have already guessed these would be perfect for a Tau outpost on the fringes of their ever-expanding empire.
You might also find that aliens have infested your planet and that's where the Hive Small Towers come in giving you a sense of a planet taken over from the inside.
I'm a big fan of these because they give an unearthly quality to the surroundings without going overboard. The fact that your troops might be fighting around the maw of a giant beast certainly adds to the experience of gaming.
What do you think of these particular terrain pieces?

Crates: like something from the dystopian streets of a cyberpunk city, or the movie set based in such a place Tau Ceti: with a different paint job, they’d fit right in to a back water world in Star Wars, Tatooine for example Hive towers: imagine a whole table with those scattered around, like the inside of some giant beast. Or a game scenario where each turn a few more are added in a ring until at the end of the game any units… Read more »

I’ve already got my eye on their Tauceti stuff for Gates of Antares, this new stuff too now.
